We Give Back
Giving back to the library community is central to LibLime's business model. In addition to developing free software, LibLime has earned its reputation as a friend to libraries.
Koha with Class: Free ILS for LIS Classrooms
LibLime's Koha with Class Initiative is designed to give library students FREE hands-on experience with library automation software and open source.
Building on the success of a pilot program at Texas Woman's University in 2006, Koha with Class provides library school classrooms with up to 5 hosted installations of Koha, the most advanced open-source integrated library automation system, free of charge.
Hundreds of free installations of Koha have been provided by LibLime via the Koha with Class Initiative and are actively being used by LIS classes around the globe

‡biblios.net: The World's Largest Database of Freely-licensed Library Records

LibLime's latest effort to GIVE BACK is ‡biblios.net, a FREE cataloging service featuring the world's largest database of freely-licensed library records.
‡biblios.net offers a FREE community-built and maintained database of freely-licensed bibliographic records coupled with the ‡biblios cataloging tool created and maintained by LibLime.
‡biblios.net tools allow catalogers to create and share records; they include API support for 'sending' records to other databases, including your ILS. Also included are Social Cataloging features like Forums and Private Messaging.
‡biblios.net is based on ‡biblios, an open-source cataloging tool, freely available from http://biblios.org under the terms of the GPL and developed by LibLime in early 2009.
